A Look at The Henry Street's Older Adult Center

Stephen K Robert, a graduate of Brown University, is a retired businessman and financial executive who has dedicated much of his life to philanthropy. As a founder and trustee of the Source of Hope Foundation, Stephen Robert works towards providing sustainable aid to communities worldwide. He was a co-honoree at the Henry House's 150th-anniversary celebration, where he received the Henry Street Settlement award.

Seniors in New York are welcome to visit Henry Street's Older Adult Center. Located at 334 Madison Street, Lower Level, New York, The Older Adult Center, formerly Good Companions Senior Center, provides meals, self-defense classes, entertaining games, karaoke, bead art, and more. Recognizing that older adults are still capable of contributing to the community, the Older Adult Center focuses on engaging seniors in fun-filled and educational activities. Barring Saturdays, the center is open all days of the week.

Founded in 1893, the Henry Street Foundation is committed to supporting communities in marginalized parts of New York City. Besides older adult services, the social service agency offers employment, education, health and wellness, housing, and recreation programs.
